This weekend, our class mapped
our family histories!
As you can see from the pins dropped on the map, our families came to Canada from all across the globe. Use this information, and your data management skills, to visually represent the composition of our classroom.
Grade 5s: Create a bar graphs and three questions.
a) The first will show our origins organized by continent. (E.g. how many from Australia, how many from Asia, etc.)
b) Finally, create three questions that could be answered by someone looking at our map. The best questions will require inferring.
Grade 6s: Create two pie charts and three questions.
a) The first pie chart will show our origins organized by continent. (E.g. how many from Australia, how many from Asia, etc.)
b) As we predicted, the majority of of our pins landed in Europe. Your second pie chart will show the number of pins by country in Europe.
c) Finally, create three questions that could be answered by someone looking at our map. The best questions will require inferring.
